The beans are grown near “Fai Mai”means fire mountain, aka volcano. The volcanic soils are fertile because they are relatively “young”; they retain many of the nutrients that coffee plants required, produced slightly more mineralised and flavourful coffee than those grown in non-volcanic areas. Geisha varietal requires no intro, it has distinct tea-like aroma and floral notes.
